So one of my complaints in this German Arzate Complaints post is when they make stars out of kids, be it movies or music. What has happened throughout history? Well, here in Mexico we have stars like Luis Miguel, the group Timbiriche and many others, in the US people like Charlie Sheen, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus etc. My complaint about this kind of thing I guess is because I am a parent also and of course have expectations for my kids. So I wonder what those parents were thinking when they got their kids into all this. To think that it doesn’t matter what happens to their kids as long as they become famous. How could they believe that those kids would be able to handle such success and fame? As kids and teens they can barely understand the changes their bodies and minds are going through let alone handling fame. It doesn’t matter where they are from, what race they are, what is their culture or creed… Along with this kind of success also often comes great loneliness, also drugs, alcohol and despair. These people are so successful and yet so alone. Very few have their parents with them helping them through all this. Usually their mentors are promoters who only use them as they please to make money and thus mold their young minds in a commercial way. I say if the parents had the guts to throw their child into such a world, they should also be there for them through it all as their coach and promoter. Ok, maybe as a parent they do not know how to promote so they get someone to help with that, but it is still their obligation to stand by their side now that they have cast this little sheep to the wolves in a sense.
I ask myself if Charlie Sheen’s dad is very happy with how he turned out? No one gave him an Oscar for that! Or how do Miley Cyrus’ folks feel about her having to strip just to get attention? I wonder is Justin Bieber’s parents are happy with his behavior. It seems he’s almost lost his mind with all the fame trying to figure out if he wants more tattoos or if better yet he should change his color? So this is one of German Arzate complaints post about. Of course there is great confusion in all this for these kids. Where are the parents now? You don’t hear much about them anymore, maybe they are hiding. Maybe they got depressed with the outcome of their kids and couldn’t take it.
I believe it’s the parent’s responsibility to help their kids develop their talents and then stick with them through to fruitition helping them in the good and the bad. After all they should be part of their successes and failures. How sad it must be to see your child climb to the summit and then be destroyed by a dog eat dog world to be left lonely and without direction constantly hounded by vultures who are only after their money, and that is just what it is like in the world of movies and music. There is a great void of values and ethics in such a world. So one of my complaints in this German Arzate complaints post is how many more kids will be thrown out there without proper coaching and leadership from their parents? When this happens they are most certainly headed for eventual failure sooner or later. So many talented people headed for such a lonely ending full of despair and perdition. Thank you!
